Pelikan IBIS
The IBIS fountain pen was the affordable entry level Pelikan. He gets the model number 130.
1936 The IBIS replaces the Rappen in the domestic market.
1937 Introduction of IBIS with palladium nib.
1942 production was discontinued due to the war.
1949 Re-launch of the IBIS 130. For Germany with CN-nib. The new model is made from resin and a little bit longer than the earlier pens. Remaining stocks of ebonite caps are apparently used up, so models with mixed materials can be found.
1949 IBIS for export are equipped with gold nibs.
1950 IBIS 130 with gold nib for the German market available.
In 1954 the production of the model IBIS was officially discontinued. However, it is known that IBIS pens for particular markets (eg Switzerland) were produced until at least 1956.
